Today on Fox Business Network, Stuart Varney asked Judge Andrew Napolitano to weigh in on yesterday’s filibuster on Capitol Hill by Sen. Rand Paul, who spoke on the issue of drones. Varney pressed the judge as to why the same tactics aren’t used by other politicians to bring attention to the “nonsense going on with economic policy.” “These filibusters are rarely successful to the extent that they stop what the senator wants to stop. They usually succeed in exposing to the public the issue the senator wants to expose,” he said. The judge added that in the case of Rand Paul, “it’s really sad that his letters to the White House were unanswered, and it was necessary for him to put his body and soul through this 13-hour ordeal in order to get people to pay attention to the issues, specifically, the White House.”
