Sarah Steelman has a valentine for President Obama! Steelman touches on her fondness for conversation hearts. But, instead of 'Be Mine' or 'I'm Yours', her special message for Obama and Congress is 'Cut Now'. Steelman points out the sequester or cuts for this year total $85 billion out of a $3.8 trillion budget. That's about 2.2% of the total budget. While everyday Americans are sacrificing a lot more than 2.2% out of their budgets, this is all bumbling Washington can muster. Steelman says cuts should be evenly distributed and not overwhelmingly targeting defense spending. She questions the selective memory in DC and urges lawmakers to cut spending now before it is too late.
