Thursday in Arizona, the Cost of Freedom Tribute and Traveling Wall made a stop in the town of Buckeye. The exhibit is designed to show support for American men and women in uniform. The American Veterans Traveling Tribute (AVTT) is a non-profit organization that honors our courageous service members. The Traveling Wall is a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, DC. All wars and conflicts involving the United States are represented in the tribute. Along with paying respect to veterans and active duty military, the group also recognizes police officers, firefighters, and other heroes.

The National Rifle Association has been vilified by a slanted media. The law abiding, patriotic group has been painted as the bad guy on the heels of Sandy Hook and other acts of violence. On a Friday night in Philadelphia, Governor Sarah Palin proved what we already expected. She was the perfect choice to keynote an event designed to honor Terri Schiavo and defend life. Palin delivered a heartfelt speech at the Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network’s Award Gala in front of a packed ballroom of supporters. “Her plight, her journey, taught Americans who we are and what we can be,” Palin said speaking about Schiavo. “Her story is certainly not over.” Governor Palin referred to Schiavo as a beautiful young woman with unquenchable spirit.
